North Post

Ways we work

From a simple website to a product people use every day.

North Post works directly with businesses, organizations and founders on websites, applications and digital products. Start small when small is enough. Build deeper when the product calls for it.

Every engagement is scoped around the work—not around adding unnecessary features.

A different kind of project

A website explains the business. An application runs part of it.

Everything above is a website: pages, content and structure built to be read. Once people need accounts, records, permissions, payments or workflows, the project becomes software—and it’s scoped, built and tested differently.

NP—05

Apps & Digital Products

Software, not just pages.

From$5,000

For products that need accounts, data, workflows, payments or software-specific interaction.

Native when it matters. Cross-platform when it makes sense.

Possible work

  • SaaS MVPs
  • Full-stack web applications
  • Internal tools and dashboards
  • Authentication and permissions
  • Databases and data modeling
  • Subscriptions and payments
  • APIs and integrations
  • Native iOS applications
  • Cross-platform mobile applications
  • Product architecture and technical direction

North Post is led by an experienced iOS engineer, so native iOS is a genuine capability rather than a line on a list. Cross-platform work is a deliberate choice when the product, budget and timeline make it the better engineering decision.

Talk about the product

What’s standard

Good engineering isn’t an upgrade.

The details below are part of how North Post builds—not premium extras added at checkout.

Responsive
Designed intentionally across phone, tablet and desktop—not shrunk down after the fact.
Accessible
Semantic structure, keyboard usability, visible focus states, real contrast and reduced-motion support.
Search-ready
Technical SEO foundations, metadata, sitemap, crawlability and structured information.
Fast
Performance-conscious assets, modern rendering and sensible dependencies.
Secure
HTTPS, secure configuration, input validation, basic abuse protection and responsible secret handling.
Tested
Production build validation, browser and responsive QA, and appropriate automated test coverage.
Observable
Production logging, error visibility and basic monitoring, so problems surface before customers report them.

Application projects receive additional security and testing architecture. Once authentication, databases, payments, permissions or public APIs are involved, the standards above expand accordingly—that work is part of building software responsibly.

Search

Built to be understood.

Every custom North Post site includes the technical foundation search engines need to understand the site properly. That includes semantic structure, thoughtful metadata, crawlable pages, sitemaps, performance, accessible markup and useful page content.

Local search setup

Included with Business and Custom engagements, where a physical or service area is part of how the business is found.

  • Google Search Console setup
  • Google Business Profile guidance
  • Organization and LocalBusiness structured data where appropriate
  • Conversion tracking
  • Local service and location architecture when appropriate

Technical and local search setup is not the same thing as ongoing SEO and content marketing. Ongoing search strategy and content work can be scoped separately. We don’t promise rankings—no one can.

Measurement

Traffic is useful. Knowing what people actually did is better.

  1. 01

    Essential Analytics

Understand traffic, where it comes from and how people move through the site.

    Starter engagements

  2. 02

Track the actions that actually represent interest.

Business and Custom engagements, where applicable

    • Contact submissions
    • Phone clicks
    • Booking clicks
    • Registration
    • Newsletter signup
  3. 03

    • Onboarding completed
    • Checkout started
    • Subscription started
    • Core workflow completed

After launch

Ship it. Then keep it healthy.

Ongoing support is available separately from the initial project. A care plan is an optional relationship, not a requirement—the site is yours either way.

NP—CARE

$100/ month

Includes

  • Hosting and deployment management where applicable
  • Production monitoring
  • Bug fixes
  • Routine dependency and security maintenance
  • Analytics

  • Menu, event and service updates
  • Landing-page adjustments
  • Conversion analytics review
  • Search-performance monitoring
  • Priority support

Development beyond a plan is billed at $100 per hour, or quoted as a separate project when it’s large enough to deserve one.

Ask about care plans

Modern tools

Move faster. Keep the judgment human.

North Post uses modern development tools—including AI-assisted workflows—to move faster where it makes sense. That means less time spent on repetitive production work and more time spent on structure, design, engineering, performance and the details that make the finished product feel considered.

AI makes the process faster. It doesn’t make the decisions for us.

Questions

Reasonable things to ask.

Do you use AI?

Yes. We use modern AI-assisted development tools where they make the process faster or more efficient. They don’t replace design judgment, engineering experience, testing or client collaboration.

The goal isn’t to generate a website as quickly as possible. It’s to spend less time on repetitive work and more time making the finished product good.

Does SEO come with the website?

Technical SEO foundations come with every custom North Post website: semantic structure, metadata, crawlable pages, sitemaps, performance and accessible markup.

Business and Custom engagements include deeper local-search setup where applicable—Search Console, Google Business Profile guidance, structured data and conversion tracking. We don’t guarantee rankings, and anyone who does is guessing. Ongoing search strategy and content work can be scoped separately.

Do I need a monthly plan?

No. Care plans exist for businesses that want North Post to keep maintaining, monitoring and updating the site after launch.

The project is yours either way. You own the work, the code and the accounts, and nothing stops functioning if you decide not to continue on a plan.

What counts as a small update?

Holiday hours, a copy adjustment, changing a menu item, replacing an image, updating a promotion—simple content changes that take minutes rather than planning.

New pages, new functionality, integrations or product features are quoted separately, either hourly or as their own small project.

Do you build mobile apps?

Yes. North Post is led by an experienced iOS engineer, so native iOS work is a real capability rather than something subcontracted out. Cross-platform applications are built when the product, budget and timeline make that the better decision.

Native when it matters. Cross-platform when it makes sense.

What if my site uses Squarespace, Wix or Subsplash?

Site Refresh is for websites where we can work directly with the source code. We don’t offer design or layout changes inside drag-and-drop website builders.

If you want to move to a custom website, we can discuss a separately scoped rebuild and content migration. If your current platform still meets your needs, a specialist in that platform is a better fit.

What if I need something that doesn’t fit a package?

The tiers above are starting points, not boxes. Most projects land somewhere between them.

Describe what you need and we’ll quote the actual work directly.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe the situation and we’ll tell you honestly—including when the smaller option is the right one. A short note is enough to start.
